Your body is an amazing feat of nature. Every second, it performs millions of processes without you even noticing. It works tirelessly to keep you safe from disease and injury. It allows you to experience inspiration and to feel love. Even so, we could all use a reminder now and then of just how phenomenal our own bodies are.

Who encourages you to be your best body-positive self? Maybe a family member, friend, or even someone you follow online? According to a recent Student Health 101 survey, 51 percent of high school students follow body-positive social media accounts. In celebration of each and every body (yes, yours too!), we want to shout out some of our favorite body-positive influencers.

The following five Instagrammers use social media for the greater good by posting inspirational and motivational messages that promote health, body love, and acceptance for all sizes, colors, and abilities. They’re examples of how to have less self-judgment and be more confident and secure with ourselves.

“Sometimes to clear out negative mental energy you need to use physical energy. I hated running growing up, I was always the slow kid. On my bike I’m fast. Do what works for you. There is no right or wrong way to be a person. I still have to remind myself of that.”

“My 20s were a decade of discovering who I am and how I fit into the world. I’m going into this next decade without the weight of other people’s expectations on my shoulders. I’m taking up space and unapologetically rolling up to my seat at the table. I can’t wait to see what happens.✌️”

“Don’t be ashamed of what makes you different. My skin changes all the time, I relearn how to do my makeup all the time based on what suits it in that time. Skin is just skin. We shouldn’t judge based on it, condition, or race. Like our minds and souls, my skin is ever evolving. ❤️”
